These chains have a two-piece design featuring plastic top plates which are "snapped on" to a 1/2" pitch roller chain with specially extended pins to retain the plastic top. The system can often prove to be a wise investment as worn or damaged top plates can be simply changed out on an individual basis without having to replace the complete chain. The system provides the benefits of a positive chain drive which allows long center distances and very high speeds to be employed. Top Plates are available from stock in LF Acetal and on a made to order basis in New Generation or Anti-Static.
The roller chain utilizes the gearing dimensions of ANSI 40-1 but due to the elongated pin is not a standard chain. When ordering only the base chain or connecting links please note the correct reference number as per the attached tables.
